Description

This Crispy Chicken Burger combines juicy, seasoned chicken with fresh toppings and a homemade sauce, all nestled between toasted buns for the ultimate comfort food experience. Perfect for a family dinner or a casual weekend meal, this recipe will guide you through creating a burger that's crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with every bite packed with flavor.

Ingredients
    For the Chicken
  • 2 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon Cumin
  • 1 tablespoon Oregano powder
  • 1 tablespoon Paprika
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour (you can use potato starch or corn starch)
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs (I like to use Fire & Smoke Mr. Schnitzel Crispy Coating)
  • For the sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Light mayonnaise (you can use avocado mayo)
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (yellow mustard works too)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • For Assembly
  • 3 Burger Buns, Halved and toasted
  • 1 Tomato (Sliced)
  • 1 Organic microgreens (washed)
  • 1 Pickles
  • 3 Cheese (Sliced)
Instructions
  1. Season the Chicken

    Flatten the chicken breasts to an even thickness using a meat mallet. Season both sides with garlic powder, cumin, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  2. Prepare the Chicken

    Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip into beaten eggs, and then coat with breadcrumbs. I like to use this Fire & Smoke Chica Licka Bam Bam Coating.

  3. Cook the Chicken
    • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Shallow fry the chicken until golden and crispy, about 4 minutes per side.
    • Transfer the chicken to an oven preheated to 150°F to keep warm
  4. Prepare the Sauce
    • In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  5. Assemble the Burger
    • Toast the burger buns lightly. On each bun bottom, layer cheese, tomato slices, a piece of fried chicken, organic microgreens, pickles, and a generous spread of the sauce. Top with the other half of the bun.
Note
  • Ensure the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safety.
  • Adjust the amount of seasoning according to taste preference.
  • Chicken breasts must be flattened to an even thickness using a meat mallet. This ensures they cook evenly and remain juicy.
  • For an extra crispy texture, you can double-coat the chicken with flour and breadcrumbs.
